Cowdung Ash
Date

This sculpture explores the cyclical nature of life, birth, death, and the ideas of rebirth, reflecting a continuous inquiry into existence. Crafted entirely from ash, the work embodies the final, inevitable stage of all things on Earth, serving as a powerful reminder of impermanence. The choice of ash as the medium directly challenges the permanence symbolized by the Chinese Terracotta Army, which was created to immortalize the power of a king and guard his mausoleum. While the Terracotta Army seeks to preserve and eternalize, this sculpture embraces the transient nature of life. The ashes, once vibrant and full of potential, now represent the conclusion of all worldly forms, emphasizing the fleeting essence of material existence and the ultimate decay inherent in the cycle of life
